THE STORY BEHIND

Have you ever had a passion in pursuit of which you felt that you could leave everything you had behind, a successful career, job? Yes, that’s what I want to share with you, my friend. I wondered about, what I loved to do. And it bobbed around in my brain like a ping pong ball. Constantly on top of my sea of thoughts.
In the Year 2008, I had a chance to visit MARGERITA a quaint little town in Upper Assam, India. As a nature lover, nothing gives me more of a dopamine rush than driving in the middle of the lush green landscape. The tall canopy of trees was a wonder to view along the drive. Lush green tea gardens with the backdrop of Dehing Patkai mountain range and river Dehing flowing across. The golf course added beauty to the town. But the real enchantment came when I attended a tea ceremony with the local tribals of INTHONG village, the SINGPHOS. The cup was served with local jaggery or honey. The golden colour and the smoky flavor of the drink were a moment of perfect sip. It was more than the dried leaves drowned in the water.

Thus marked my journey with the twirling green leaves and a white bud. My bond of a life time.

That’s how I can envision my journey, the birth of TEA O PHILE.

It's truly fascinating how a cup of tea connects people around the world and bring back memories of sharing a perfect sip.

    Always looking for a new tea adventure. I would love to share ,the delicate aspects of the green leaves, the flavours, emotions, culture, the tea ceremony and so on. Travelled round the world from the shores of Scandinavia to the magical fields of Europe,the undulating hills of Sri Lanka, and India, looking for the inspiration, until we dropped and of course drinking innumerable cups of tea at exotic locations.

    Today with an experience of more than a decade I can pen down my thoughts and reach, the tea lovers and my friends.
